TG Hardy - Writer Biography
Tom Hardy began learning the craft of writing fiction some twelve years ago at Boulder Writing Studio and Denver's Lighthouse Writer's Workshop. His first effort was a hastily-written, contemporary Brazilian novel which he found both exhilarating to write and sobering to hear critiqued.

He set the novel aside and shifted to writing short prose, a form that seemed best suited for workshopping, and, more importantly, would allow him to experiment widely with tense, point-of-view, structure, and trying on varied and unfamiliar voices.

That effort produced writing that has appeared in Narrative Magazine, the William & Mary Review, the Jackson Hole Writers Conference 25th Year Anniversary Anthology, Open Window Review, the Faircloth Review, O-Dark-Thirty and SpringGun Press. [Links to a sampling of these pieces are arrayed below].

Three years ago, he turned his attention back to repotting the Brazilian novel, setting it back in the last century, in parts of Brazil less known, and with a quite different protagonist. After two major rewrites, and one deep-cut edit, the manuscript stands at about 86,000 words.Tom will spend the spring of 2022 fashioning query letters and synopses for an agent search.

An excerpt (contents and first seven pages) of the manuscript can be read under the next website tab: WHERE THE SABIÁ BIRD SINGS.
